White Tea - White Cloud (2010s)
White Tea - White Cloud (2010s)
Aged White Tea
This is an amazing aged wild white tea from 100- to 200-year-old trees. These old wild trees are deep in the forest. They are offshoots of Shuixian varietal brought to the area long ago. Hence, most of this tea is made into oolong.
This tea was processed as a white tea, with just withering and sun-drying. The results are stunning. This tea is not only phenomenally delicious, it is brimming with forest Qi and wild roots.
Origin: Quanzhou, Fujian, China
Brewing method: leaves in a bowl, sidehandle
Brewing tips: Like some other white teas, don't steep for too long because you see the colour is so light, it could go bitter if oversteeped.
