An aged green tea from the 1960s/1970s, a period when some sencha was produced in Taiwan and exported to Japan. This tea, known as "Wind in the Pines," is a rare and magical find, encapsulating the essence of a bygone era.

It takes a long time to age well since the young leaves have such a high moisture content. This means it will essentially have to slowly dry out over many years before it begins to oxidize and mature. This tea had been aged beautifully.

Wind in the Pines is complex, sweet, sour and deep. You can taste the green tea body, taste the age and the storage.

Origin: Taiwan

Brewing method: sidehandle, gongfu

Your tea will come in a charming kraft paper bag packaging.

If you would like to upgrade to a deluxe tea caddy, please add the tea caddy to your order, then include a note or send me an email right after placing the order. In the event that your tea exceeds the capacity, the remaining portion will be packed in a kraft paper bag, providing a convenient option for easy refills.
